Our Story

Way back in 1948, P.G. Martin Nimalasiri, an enthusiastic Youth armed with just a few Hundred Rupees left his Village in Matara & arrived in Colombo to fulfill bis Dream becoming bis own master.Young Martin Soon realized that his forte lay in the manufacture of Shoes, Bags & allied Leather Product. Bearing this in Mind & with sheer diligence be overcome many Obstacles before be founded his own Company P.G. Martin. the continued growth & success was fundamentally based on high quality Products, combined with Martin’s inherent honesty & fairness in all Transactions.

In less that 40 Years P.G. Martin Industries has became one of Sri Lanka’s Largest Manufacturer of Travel Bags & a host of miscellaneous Item such as Leather, Synthetic Foot wears, Belts & Wallets par excellence. The Company awarded the Presidential Awards for Export in 1992 & 1993.

Present Activities

With the advent of International consultancy in the early 1990’s indentifying High Fashion Design & the Latest Market Trend has proved to be an invaluable source of guidance & inspiration to the Company.

Today P.G. Martin is a Synonymous with High Quality Leather & Synthetic Products in Sri Lanka. The Items now manufactured by the company include Travel Bags, Attach Cases , Wallets,Belts, Back packs, & Foot wears. This company has since diversified into several different Branches of other business activities.
